Who is Manduul Baasansuren

Manduul Baasansuren is the CEO of ONDO, a Mongolian mobile network operator, and the host of the MANDUULERO podcast.

He studied sport science in Cuba and coached Mongolia's women's national basketball team. Six years as a Mongol TV host followed. He built ONDO's brand from 2021 and has led the company since 2023.

Two of his businesses failed. He talks about them on the show.

MANDUULERO looks for scientific answers to the health problems that come with urban life. Guests are researchers, doctors and specialists. It holds 4.8 stars on Apple Podcasts.

Timeline

  1. 2005–2011

    Cuba

    Studied at the International School of Physical Education and Sport in Havana on a Cuban government scholarship. Bachelor's in sport science, qualified basketball coach. He studied alongside more than 1,500 students from 81 countries.

  2. 2011

    First business, first loss

    He founded a digital marketing company with two friends, $2,000 each. It failed. A publishing venture followed and also lost money. He talks about both openly.

  3. 2010-аад он

    Coach

    Assistant coach at SBL club Khasyn Khulguud, head coach of Mongolia's women's national basketball team, and chair of the professional council at the Mongolian Basketball Association.

  4. 2015–2021

    Mongol TV

    Host of Personal Trainer, studio host on Mongolia's Got Talent, and host of Dancing with the Stars Mongolia. He also worked as content marketing and sales manager.

  5. 2020

    Podcast and film

    He launched the MANDUULERO podcast. The same year he appeared in Veins of the World, which premiered at the Berlinale and became Mongolia's submission for the 93rd Academy Awards.

  6. 2021 → өнөөдөр

    ONDO

    He joined ONDO as marketing director in April 2021 and built the brand from scratch. CEO since 1 May 2023.
